This cute little shawl or shrug is hand woven with one of my specialty techniques. The shrug is 34 inches across the shoulder and 15 inches from the neck to the tip. The way the triangle shawl is made creates this subtle plaid.
To create the collapse or crinkle cloth I start by spinning two single ply yarns. I then weave the shawl using both yarns at the same time. This causes the weave to "collapse" when it is taken off the loom. To wash this shrug, simply soak in cool water with a little shampoo, rinse in the same temperature water, squeeze out, and air dry flat. Block to shape while it is still wet.
