Grey and White Wool Shrug
This cute little triangle shrug measures 40 inches across the shoulder and 18 inches from the neck to tip. Both the grey and white are hand spun wool yarns. The piece was hand woven on a triangle loom.
Usually I know exactly what fibers I am working with. This is a rare exception. The white is corriedale. The grey was given to me and passed through several hands before it got to mine. I feels like it might be polypay sheep's wool. It is a little courser than the wool that I normally use, but will take a little rougher wear. It is a beautiful piece for a cool evening. To wash, simply soak in cool water with a little shampoo, rinse in the same temperature water, squeeze out, and air dry flat. Block to shape while it is still wet.
