Black and Brown Alpaca Dream Catcher
These dream catchers are hand netted on wild grapevine with hand spun alpaca yarn. They are decorated with glass beads and natural feathers. The black and brown came from two different animals. I blended the fiber in the carding process to get the fiber ready to spin. D21 with the brown leaf is 8 inches.
The circle of the dream catcher represents the circle of life, the sun, moon, and unity. The number of points has symbology as well. 13 is the number of full moons, the number of sections on a turtles shell, and the number of Cherokee clans. 8 represents spider woman's legs. 7 represents the prophecies. 6 represents the eagle. 5 represents the star.
