Yes it's macrame'. Yes it dates me. These belts are hand spun and hand knotted original designs. The yarn is hand spun from Navaho-Churro wool for long lasting beauty. They are 42 inches to 45 inches long for a medium hip or large waist.
I learned macrame' as a young child making plant hangers and decorations for fair projects when the technique was popular. I graduated from using other peoples patterns to designing my own projects very quickly. Even when it was "out of style", I kept my hand at it. These wearable works of art are the result of over 40 years of practice with the technique.
To wash, simply soak in cool water with a little shampoo, rinse in the same temperature water, squeeze out, and air dry flat.
