THE STONES -  I have a friend that likes to say that rocks have the answer to everything.   I may not be completely convinced of that, but there is a lot of wisdom in the stones.  In this set of essays, I am going to delve into the symbology and metaphysics of the stones.  It is important to note that this is based on both research into other's work and my own experience.  Like most guides, use this as a starting point.  Your own instincts and preferences are always your best guide.  This information should not be taken as medical or psychological advice.  If you appreciate my efforts, you can support me by clicking on  By Me a Coffee and leaving me a tip.

Some of the sources I use for information on stones are:
The Book of Stones by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian
The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall
Internet google searches for the stone
   The sites I usually use are: thecrystalcouncil.com, gia.edu, tinyrituals.com, and thespruce.com.

Grounded in the heart of Mother Earth
Are the patterns and connections
See the harmony, calm, and wisdom
of nature's spirits and the sacred feminine

Diopside is a gem that is frequently found near volcanic sites.  It can be either igneous or metamorphic, as it forms where both heat and pressure are present.  Diopside is primarily green, but black, white, brown, yellow, and grey can be found.  Green and black are the forms most frequently cut for jewelry.  This gem is a form of calcium magnesium silicate with a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6.  Diopside has been found in Siberia, China, India, the  U.S., South Africa, and Brazil.

Doapside is a stone with deep connections to Gaia and the heart of Mother Earth.  It represents connections with other people, the other beings on the planet, and the Earth herself.  It represents universal love and integrity.  It is the heart stone of the spiritual seeker.

This gem carries with it Gaia's energy and the energy of the nature spirits.  It may help you create garden magic and connect to plant magic.  It facilitates communication with other energies on this planet, including animals, plants, minerals, Fey, and other humans.  Diopside attracts nature spirits and encourages positive action towards stewardship.  It may help you to see the patterns and connections that play out in nature and the universe.

With this connection to Earth energies, diopside is a good aid to anyone who works with Earth energies.  Garden magic and plant magic are just the beginning.  This connects the energy worker to the heartbeat of Mother Earth and can be an aid to dowsing and ley line work.

Diopside does work on a personal level as well.  It can help you feel grounded, centered and balanced.  Its feminine energy can help you connect to your emotions and release past trauma and blockages.  This can help you connect to your true self and find love, compassion, and forgiveness for yourself and others.

On a spiritual level, diopside has been used to bring enlightenment and healing.  Its connection with deep Earth energies facilitates past life exploration and the healing of the spirit from past life trauma.  It can be an aid to psychic ability, intuition, and clarity.  It is believed to integrate the spiritual and physical aspects of life.

This is a beautiful stone for both jewelry and energy work for those who take the time to seek it out.
